Kim Carlino
Kim Carlino is a multidisciplinary artist and muralist whose work explores the intersection of abstraction, ecology, pattern, and human perception. Working across painting, drawing, installation, murals, and site-specific public art, her practice transforms spaces into immersive visual experiences that invite movement, curiosity, and connection. Inspired by nature, cosmology, architecture, and systems of interconnection, Carlino’s work combines bold color, geometry, and layered patterning to create environments that feel both playful and contemplative.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and includes projects for the City of Northampton, NYC Department of Transportation, Google Headquarters in Cambridge, the Garment District Alliance in New York City, and Grand Rapids ArtPrize. Carlino has received numerous awards, including a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in Drawing and Printmaking and the Art on the Streets Grand Prize Award. She is also co-founder of Bright Matter Studio.
